Job Description
Residential Aide
This position will be located at in Dothan, Alabama
Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm
Responsibilities:
  • Position will develop an inventory system, track program deadlines for food orders,etc.
  • Position may be required to assist with Mental Health Technician duties to meet the needs of consumers. These tasks include but not limited to transport, meal preparation, cleaning the facility and assisting with daily tasks, teaching group and/or individual basic living skills, medication administration as MAC certified employee, etc.
  • Position will be responsible for ordering the food for all residential programs, as well as run Food Bank routes for distribution of food.
  • Will work with and train residential Mental Health Technicians on the process of SpectraCare's food program which includes use of developed menus, portion quantities, food handling, food preparation, etc.
  • Providing transportation using system vehicle when required by the program
  • Complete food reports as required by SpectraCare policy, USDA policy, etc , as well as other documentation using an electronic health record system or other electronic applications.
  • Responsible for the coordination of the residential food program operating within the budget guidelines.
  • Maintain pantry stock and discard food upon expiration.
Requirements:
  • Must obtain CPR and MAC certification upon hire
  • Good MVR, willing to submit to motor vehicle report check
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Prefer previous experience providing patient care in a mental health or substance abuse treatment environment
