The #1 Priority of this position is…

To assist the new residents in the process of moving to The Palace. The scope of responsibilities is from the Residents’ pre-arrival, during initial stay and post arrival until the Resident has settled in, acquainted in their new home and feel comfortable at The Palace.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Visit residents in their apartments and during activities throughout the adjustment period.
  • Prep room to assure the apartment is ready.
  • Meet with Resident for breakfast, lunch and dinner during admission process.
  • Assist the Director of Customer Service with ensuring that new residents’ documentation is complete prior to or upon residents’ entrance.
  • Give a tour of the entire building.
  • Help resident with apartment set up in cooperation with Maintenance and Housekeeping.
  • Follow up with Resident/Family throughout the day on any special requests.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in Hospitality, Independent Living, Assisted Living Facility or similar setting.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to speak, read & write in English with good comprehension. Spanish preferred.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs a must.
  • College education preferred.
  • Experience in social services, customer service with older adult services a plus.

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
  • Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays and in emergencies.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
