Resident Care Assistant Jobs

3pm-11am

The Resident Care Assistant is responsible for providing resident services, including assistance with personal care, medication reminders, social and recreational activities, meal services, and other tasks as needed to facilitate the continued wellbeing of the resident. The Resident Care Assistant must be sensitive to the needs and desires of each resident and attempt to improve and enrich their lives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to be on your feet for long periods
• Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position (not a fan of this bullet point as it infers that the possession with intent to sell cocaine conviction last year would not make me ineligible for employment)
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to project a professional image
• Ability to help lift residents with assistance
• Ability to learn AL regulatory standards and compliance requirements

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience with seniors preferred
