Position: Residential Life Coordinator
Responsibilities
You'll play a key role in fostering a supportive and inclusive residential community for our students. Your day-to-day duties will involve:
Recruiting, training, and inspiring a team of resident assistants.
Cultivating intentional learning and development opportunities for students through an innovative residential curriculum.
Emphasizing restorative justice and an educational approach in handling student conduct cases.
Being readily available to students and staff, attending events, and actively engaging with the campus community.
Coordinating with various campus partners to support student enrollment, retention, and satisfaction.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
At least two years of experience in residence life, either as an undergraduate or graduate resident assistant, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and guide a team.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences will be highly valued:
Genuine empathy and care for students and their success.
Creative event planning and organizational abilities.
Familiarity with Maxient, Banner (Ellucian) Student Information System, and Microsoft Office systems.
Prior experience implementing or facilitating a residential curriculum model.
