Works under the supervision of the Project Manager or Principal Investigator to coordinate sub-projects within the larger study. Sub-projects may be, but not limited to, organizing study meetings, events, logistics, mailings, etc; tracking participant and project status; serving as study contact; and writing protocols and IRB applications. Provides administrative support to project leads and able to interact with both internal and external customers at all levels. The work for this position will be half of the time with international institutions; experience working with people with diverse background and diverse communities preferred, assisting in grant writing and budget management.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work under supervision of and take direction from Project Manager (PM) or Principal Investigator (PI).
2. Coordinate sub-projects within the larger study.
3. Sub-projects and tasks may include:
a. Write and submit IRB applications.
b. Write study SOPs, protocols, manuals and data dictionaries.
c. Develop study materials (letters, advertisements, recruitment material, etc).
d. Use tracking systems to track participant and project status.
e. Organize and track outgoing and incoming mailings or other communications with participants.
f. Coordinate study events and study logistics.
g. Coordinate schedules of study staff, study events, and study meetings.
h. May oversee some day-to-day operations of study staff.
i. Travel to sites of data collection or study events.
j. Liaise between technical staff at external organizations and HFHS Field Staff.
k. Serve as the contact person for participants and their caregivers.
l. May be responsible for accurate accounting and handling of study incentives.
m. Assist PM or PI with any other study-related needs.
4. May work on multiple studies at one time.
5. May work on studies that have multiple data collection or collaborating locations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, health education, communication,
social or political science or related field. Experience in coordination and following protocols.
