I. JOB OVERVIEW

Summary:
The Milken Institute School of Public Health is seeking a Research Program Manager to assist in supporting the school’s Research Enterprise. The position is part of the Office of the Research Excellence. This position will report to a Supervisor, Research Programs.

This senior level position focuses on providing sponsored research administration support involving pre-award and post-award management within the GW Research Pod 2. This position often maintains fiscal responsibility and manages budgets and compliance timelines throughout the life cycle of the award, as well as outreach to other GW stakeholders in order to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies. This position makes recommendations on policy and procedures. This position serves as the primary liaison partnering with PIs, managing day-to-day operations through direct grant award and administrative contributions to ensure research success.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 3 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
