Job Description

Position summary

The Research Data Analyst is responsible for using tools like Qualtrics for data collection, analyzing data using SQL, Python, and R, and then effectively communicating the insights through data visualizations and storytelling. Additionally, experience in working with people data, such as HR data, would be an advantage given the focus on revamping the "voice of the employees" survey process and analytics.


Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of Qualtrics, SQL, and BI tools.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analysis and research.
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as business intelligence, statistics, or marketing.


Experience with research applications (Qualtrics): Qualtrics is a popular survey tool used for data collection and analysis. As a Research Data Analyst, the candidate should be proficient in using Qualtrics to design, distribute, and manage surveys as part of research projects.


Understand data analytics - SQL, Python, R: The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data analytics, which includes knowledge of SQL, Python, and R programming languages. These are essential tools for data manipulation, querying, and statistical analysis.


Storytelling through data: This skill involves the ability to effectively communicate complex findings from data analysis in a clear and compelling manner. The Research Data Analyst should be adept at creating data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that tell a story and provide insights to stakeholders.


Experience in people data (work in a people team): “People data" refers to data related to employees, such as HR data, employee engagement surveys, performance metrics, etc. The candidate should have experience working with such data and be familiar with the challenges and nuances of handling people-related data.
