Job Description
A pharmaceutical company in California is looking to add a new Research Associate Support Resource for a promising opportunity with their team in San Francisco. In this role, the Research Associate Support Resource will be responsible for supporting in vivo pharmacology activities by performing immunological assays and cell culture and analyzing data.


Responsibilities


The Research Associate Support Resource will:


  • Routinely feed, passage, expand, and freeze multiple adherent and suspension cell lines for in vivo studies
  • Utilize established techniques in cell culture, cell biology and immunology to generate and analyze data in an accurate and reproducible manner
  • Perform immunophenotyping of cell subsets using flow cytometry
  • Work primarily in a laboratory setting to advance CAR adoptive cell therapy programs for treatment of cancer
  • Collect and process rodent blood samples and performs various in vitro and ex-vivo cytokine and immune cell assays
  • Perform other duties, as needed
  • Maintain accurate record keeping in laboratory notebooks and appropriate databases in a timely manner
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in multi-color flow cytometry techniques, ELISA and aseptic tissue culture
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • 1+ year of relevant work experience
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
Desired Skills:


  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. FlowJo, GraphPad)
  • Small animal handling experience
  • Industry work or internship experience, especially in CAR-T cell or immuno-oncology field
  • Familiarity with PBMC isolation from blood products, cell separation techniques
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following techniques: ELISA/ELISPOT/Luminex
