Position Summary


The Biomedical Research Imaging Center ( BRIC ) has dual missions: To serve the imaging needs of the researchers of the University and to advance the rapidly developing science of biomedical imaging. The Research Scholar position will conduct research on medical imaging such as: medical image segmentation, indexing and recognition, classification and segmentation, resting-state fMRI analysis, and image registration and retrieval, medical image analysis and machine learning.


Minimum Education And Experience Requirements


Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.


Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience


Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience


Background in Computer Science, Radiological Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field. The candidate should have experience in ensemble based classification methods and machine learning techniques for medical image classification and retrieval.
