Job Description

Marketing Research Assistant


BrandBossHQ is seeking a Marketing Research Assistant to support immediate client needs. Applicants must be local to the Triangle area of North Carolina and able to be in our offices in Raleigh for initial training, monthly check-ins and other special projects.


As a Marketing Research Assistant you are responsible for supporting the Director of Consumer Insights & Strategy with primary and secondary research initiatives such as cultural trend analysis, competitive analysis, and quantitative and qualitative consumer studies. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of research initiatives, tool development, and analysis.


The Marketing Research Assistant will report directly to the Director of Consumer Insight & Strategy.


Responsibilities include:


  • Creation of charted data to include in client presentations
  • Overseeing research timelines and deliverables
  • Assist in development of creative briefs to kick-off creative teams
  • Assist in development of client research presentations
  • Assist in presentation of research findingst to clients
  • Analyze and interpret quantitative data to identify patterns and solutions
  • Manage all phases of the quantitative research process including survey development, list purchases, survey partner management, programming oversight, and analysis
  • Manage all phases of the qualitative research process including discussion guide development, recruiting, moderator oversight, and high-level analysis
  • Compile insights for research presentations in a simple and concise way


Required Skills:

  • Proficient in managing multiple research projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-starter, works effectively independently and within a team environment
  • Possess an ability to understand and translate research results to tell a relevant and compelling story
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Enjoy helping clients solve problems
  • Familiarity and understanding of quantitative analysis
  • Proactive mindset, always looking ahead to anticipate next steps and actions needed
  • Knowledgable and experienced with mixed methodologies
  • A clear understanding of market research project setup, recruiting, and oversight ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and delivered as expected
  • Desire and ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Google programs (Drive, Slides, Docs, Sheets)


Extra Credit:

  • Working knowledge of Miro a plus
  • Working knowledge of project management platform, Monday, is a plus
  • Moderating experience a plus


Compensation:

Compensation range for position is $50k - $65k, commensurate with experience.
