Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for a Research Analyst with research experience to join the Public Health and Epidemiology Practice. Qualified individuals may work on a variety of projects and need to be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This position is based in Rockville, Maryland and is eligible for a remote work arrangement (must be U.S. based).
Job Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support as needed (updating presentations, coordinating/scheduling meetings, note taking, etc.).
• Support mixed methods data collection activities, including recruitment, designing surveys, conducting interviews, focus groups, and data cleaning.
• Assist in the analysis of qualitative data using NVivo.
• Perform data management and manipulation using MS Excel spreadsheets.
• Conduct quality control checks on data and reports.
• Coordinate recruitment activities with consumer panel vendors.
• Assist in developing project materials and documentation.
• Conduct and summarize literature reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a social science discipline, with a minimum of 2 years’ of previous research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background/knowledge about survey design
• Qualitative, mixed methods research experience
• Experience conducting qualitative interviews (cognitive, in-depth, focus groups, usability)
• Master’s Degree

• Organization skills, including time management ability
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across projects
• Collaboration with teams, managers and/or clients
• Demonstrated communication skills and writing skills
• Detail oriented
