Job Description

Paypro is looking for a motivated individual to join the Payroll Tax Department! The right candidate must be eager to learn and excited to join a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment.


This is a fully Remote position.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Investigate and resolve escrow discrepancies as they occur; enter fund transfers between accounts, as necessary.
  • Provide support to the Controller and other members of the Accounting Department, as needed.
  • Obtain and store all applicable banking files.
  • Assist in certain accounts payable and/or accounts receivable transactions.
  • Assist with EOM, and EOY reporting with an emphasis on the escrow client’s funds.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of ad hoc reports, as needed.
  • Assist with general ledger and journal entries for financial reporting purposes.
  • Manage all escrow bank accounts and management of client’s escrow funds. Manage the clients’ general ledgers within the payroll systems.
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations for Paypro’s bank accounts.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
  • Subject Matter Expert in Microsoft Excel
  • Flexibility and commitment to meet regulatory deadlines at peak volume times (12/31 year-end/ quarterly)
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively handle priorities in a timely fashion
  • Ability to recognize exceptions when completing bank reconciliations and take the initiative to review those exceptions to resolution
  • Experience handling Escrow bank accounts (e.g., client’s funds)
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with bank reconciliations:

Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to recognize exceptions when completing bank reconciliations and take the initiative to review those exceptions.
  • Experience with MPay and UKG payroll software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office utilities and programs
  • An ability to work independently and learn in a team-oriented environment.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to complete tasks independently.
  • Excellent oral and written business communication skills.
