Job Description

Job Summary

The Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) Relationship Manager will manage day-to-day interactions between up to 175 student workers and 100 corporate partners with a focus on student development and corporate partner satisfaction. The position goal is student development and partner retention.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Document workflow and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Oversee Smart Trip card distribution, use, and collection.
  • Support the summer evaluations, placements, and training programs (especially Bridge).
  • Communicate with Lead driver to ensure bus routes are as streamlined as possible.
  • Assist in school wide and department special events and staff coverage as needed.
  • Work with the Corporate Work Study Program to transition partner portfolios.
  • Create CWSP marketing materials for events and post to social media outlets while working closely with the Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
  • Enforce CWSP dress code and check-in expectations.
  • Ensure attendance is taken, tracked, and that all students are accounted for.
  • Oversee the development of annual routes to ensure that drop-off and pickup points to job partner sites are organized.
  • Track missed workdays and work with the other Relationship Managers to ensure they are made up or paid for.
  • Input all supervisor and student interaction data in database.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Don Bosco Cristo Rey and the Corporate Work Study Program.
  • Responsible for contributing to and distributing the quarterly CWSP newsletter.
  • Collaborates with CWSP and DBCR staff on Student Performance and Departmental initiatives.


Partner Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (Champions, POC, Supervisors) within the partner portfolio.
  • Complete a minimum of two site visits a year.
  • Communicate regularly with each student’s supervisor.
  • Work to ensure 92% partner retention.


Student Responsibilities:

  • On-board student workers for placements.
  • Analyze student worker timesheets, bi-annual evaluations, site visit assessments, and supervisor interviews.
  • When needed, address poor work performance through student coaching sessions.
  • Assist students in completing permission slips for work events on non-workdays or off-site events.
  • Refer students to the CWSP Business Curriculum Teacher to create a work performance improvement plan as needed.
  • Contact the parent/legal guardian as needed.
  • Enforce CWSP dress code and check-in expectations.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in program development or administration
  • Bachelor’s degree required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Word
  • Understanding and commitment to the educational mission of the Archdiocese of Washington, the Salesians of Don Bosco, and the vision of the Cristo Rey Network
  • Possess interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and corporate partners
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the School’s Mission
  • Knowledge of the Catholic faith, beliefs and practices
  • Have experience with youth from urban or low-income communities
  • Demonstrate ethnic, racial, and religious sensitivity of the student body
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus


Work Environment:

  • Work schedule flexibility required
  • Hours of work and days generally follow the school day schedule
  • Travel: Moderate Level (Local)
  • General office environment
