At Regions, the Regulatory Reporting Analyst prepares regulatory schedules and miscellaneous filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Assists in ensuring accuracy and completeness in reporting practices
  • Contributes to process improvements and makes recommendations on occasion
  • Researches and interfaces with business unit personnel
  • Implements new filing requirements as initiated by regulators
  • Assists in preparing detailed work papers for regulators


This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.


Requirements


  • Three (3) years of experience in public accounting or in the accounting industry with reporting, policy, or financial analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or directly related field


Preferences


  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or eligible candidate
  • Experience in the financial services industry


Skills And Competencies


  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
  • Ability to work under moderate guidance
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed
