We are seeking a dynamic Registrar Specialist to be an integral part of our University Registrar's team, driving the daily operations that shape our students' academic experiences across our campuses. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate student and academic records while actively supporting a vibrant learning environment.
Your Responsibilities
Be the Guardian of Student Records: Maintain and update student record information, ensuring accurate details of student status, admission provisions, program assignment, and academic standing.
Empower Seamless Registration: Monitor registration activities to optimize course selection and billing accuracy. Assist in setting up and updating web registration parameters.
Facilitate Smooth Registration Processes: Support both online and manual registration, expertly managing various tasks, including wait lists, intra-university registration, priority, and block registration, and hold management.
Embrace Lifelong Learning: Stay committed to learning and growing by being cross-trained on all tasks, providing backup and support throughout the system.
Champion Accredited Learning: Evaluate, enter, and update approved non-institutional credits, ensuring our students receive credit for their valuable experiences.
Foster Program Excellence: Build, maintain, and update course and program records for consistency and smooth functioning, facilitating the creation of program-based section schedules.
Shape Our Catalog: Play a crucial role in developing the University Catalog through data collection, organization, and verification, while collaborating with campuses.
Guide Students Towards Success: Manage degree audits, including substitutions and waivers, under the guidance of the Associate Registrar, to ensure student progress is on the right track.
Be the Voice of Communication: Skillfully manage communications, create impactful messages, maintain codes, organize messaging schedules, and tracking and report on their effectiveness.
Celebrate Graduation Moments: Process approved degree conferrals, maintain the Graduation Application tracking system and assist students through the graduation process.
Create a Visual Legacy: Manage the imaging of student files, preserving their academic journey for years to come.
Cultivate a Supportive Community: Provide assistance to campus-based Integrated Student Service functions, contributing to the growth and well-being of our student community.
Qualifications We Seek
A Passion for Education: Bachelor's degree or three years of experience in a higher education setting is required. Prior experience in a registrar's office is preferred.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to upholding data entry standards with precision and accuracy.
Tech Savviness: High proficiency in Colleague, Perceptive Content imaging, Business Objects, and Microsoft Office systems, especially Word, Excel, and Drive.
Stellar Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, delivering outstanding customer service to all stakeholders.
Problem-Solving Champion: Demonstrated initiative and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and provide support to colleagues.
