The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing concierge care navigation and support to clients in and around Palo Alto, CA. The majority of clients are cared for via text and phone, however candidate must be willing to travel to clients home on occasion and also be willing to work in person with the founding team on projects. This role is one of the first contract nurse roles hiring at ShadowNurse, and such, the ideal candidate is willing to provide product and service feedback daily, be willing to pivot on a dime, be flexible within the role, help design the service, and be willing to interact with engineers, product, business, marketing, and many other teams that are not typically interacted with in a nursing role. ShadowNurse is a start-up, where we are building a service to scale. The pace is fast and extremely exciting. The ideal candidate likely worked as a bed-side nurse and is frustrated by how slow change happens, sees solutions to daily problems, and enjoys problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide care navigation and support to patients and families
• Trouble shoot and problem solve patient healthcare issues
• Adhere to compliance guidelines throughout processes (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA)
• Assure quality care by adhering to standards
• Provide care education and navigation to patients in person or over the phone or via text message, with > 50% being remote
• Advocate for patients and their families
• Function in a remote role, is self-motivated, and ready to work at the top of their license in a tech-enabled care navigation company

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Professional Nurse with current licensure in California
• Candidate must have strong computer and technical skills, including using Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and Powerpoint
• Candidate must embody a start-up mindset that believes in the value of technology in healthcare
• CPR and BCLS Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance
• Candidate must have remote work experience
• Candidate must have over 5 years of direct patient care experience in various settings
