Description/Job Summary
Resources for Human Development's Intellecutual and Developmental Disabilities Service Line is seeking to hire two part-time Registered Nurses holding a license in good order from any US state. RNs will provide 100% remote clinical support through case management and care plan assessment for persons with IDD/Autism who are medically fragile and reside in communities throughout Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Assesses persons supported health and emotional needs-provides guidance and recommendations to support team.
- Assess and respond to new/potential/ ongoing health issues in persons served with IDD/Autism along with persons served with IDD/Austism and problematic sexual behavior.
- Provide education to both persons served and staff regarding common health concerns. Provide training to staff as required/requested in order to best meet the needs of persons served.
- Act as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to provide services from a holistic and values based perspective.
- Review and update the web based Health Risk Screening Tool Act as required by the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Disabilites.
- Complete documentation as required by RHD, funder/licensing/accreditation bodies.
Required Experience
Experience providing support for persons with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred.Required Education
- Current RN license in good standing from any state.
- A graduate of a school of professional Nursing (AD, hospital, or BSN); BSN preferred;

Program Summary
Resources for Human Development's PA IDD service line encompasses community-based programs providing comprehensive residential and day services in staffed homes. The program was created to support adults with autism, dual diagnoses of intellectual disabilities and mental illness, developmental disorders, and other neurobiological disabilities, significant mental health issues, as well as medical complications and problematic sexual behaviors. Emphasis is placed on developing communication skills, building social supports, enhancing daily living skills, supporting the community and social integration, providing trauma-based therapies, and mental health stabilization-with the goal of increased independence and participation within the community.
