Regional Sales Manager - HVAC

The Regional Sales Manager (HVAC) is an experienced industry influencer who works to grow ABB’s market share regionally in the Upper Midwest by managing dedicated tier-1 Channel Partners and Commercial OEM customers in support of ABB’s HVAC Drives product portfolio and market separation strategy. This remote role can be located anywhere in the territory. It is both challenging and rewarding and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to demonstrate superior demand motivation and earned influence while working in a market leading team environment.

Your responsibilities
- Support Global Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers in sales efforts. Support trade shows and industry associations as required. Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Conduct business with an unwavering ethical compass
- Negotiating and making offers in accordance with company procedures. Providing regular account summary reports to sales manager. Extensive use of SalesForce.com as a primary CRM tool.
- Technical Sales involves scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering presentations to the client, having researched their business and requirements.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales budget in assigned territory. Participate in a highly strategic collaborative environment
- To manage, support and develop solution sales for ABB Low Voltage Drives and Services at assigned Channel Partner, OEM and End User Accounts. Work closely with a diverse sales & channel team.
Your background
- Travel up to 50% required in territory (Dakotas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, West Virginia, and Wisconsin)
- Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of work experience OR Associate degree and 10 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of work experience required
- Previous experience with a CRM like Salesforce is highly preferred
- Extensive technical product sales and VFD/HVAC experience is highly preferred
- Account management history with OEMs, End User and Channel Partners in the HVAC industry is highly preferred
- Deep understanding of customer needs, experience with customer interface and strong presentation skills highly preferred
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
