As a part of OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, MedExpress is seeking a Full Time Urgent Care Traveling Independent Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Mountain Home, AR. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing Physician-led care locally.
Position Highlights
- Initial interpretation with digital X-Rays
- Splinting
- Open 8am- 8pm, 7 days per week
- Incisions and drainage
- Providers typically work 12 hour shifts
- Responsibilities include:

- Average patient load = 3-4 patients per hour

Required Qualifications:
- Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Must be willing and able to assist at other centers
- 2+ years of experience working independently as a Nurse Practitioner
- Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:
- Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
