Job Description

As a Regional Desktop Support Technician you will impact lives of children, families, and senior adults through providing desktop support. You will be responsible for driving excellence and ensuring support services deliver the required results aligned with Buckner's mission, vision, and values.

What You'll Do

  • Review and accurately process mail, faxes, emails, and other correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all Buckner policies, procedures and requirements. Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with developing and documenting internal support processes and procedures.
  • Provide break/fix hardware maintenance for computer, printers, scanners, and peripheral computer equipment.
  • Coordinate with other support resources (internal and vendor) for problem resolution.
  • Provide installation/move/add/change (IMAC) services for new and upgraded hardware and software.
  • Identify and remediate basic operating issues related to hardware (including printer and copier), software, operating systems, and networks.
  • Accurately prepare and proofread memos, letters, worksheets, presentations, and other documents and correspondence as required. Complete accurate and timely documentation.

What You'll Bring to the Team


  • In-depth understanding of desktop and mobile computer operations and support processes and basic understanding of network communications. This field of knowledge is normally associated with the attainment of an Associate's degree in Computer Information Technology. Minimum 3 years prior related experience required and professional certification (HDI Desktop Support Technician or CompTIA A+ or MCSA: Windows 7) preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office suite, Internet Explorer, and Outlook/Exchange.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate excellence in customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to travel to Buckner locations within region on a scheduled and as-needed basis.
  • Identify and resolve customer issues from a remote location.
