Your Role
- Closely manages accounts payable, collections, billing, overhead expenses
- Train and support staff on new or existing financial tools and processes
- Financial Reporting as required
- Working with Regional Finance Director, maintain an efficient regional team that can function independently
- Support/Perform Project Accounting & Accounts Payable roles when required
- Identify opportunities and lead initiatives for process improvements
- Participate in Firmwide Accounting Manager calls and initiatives
- Together with the Firmwide Accounting Team, supports tax/accounting audits
- Maintain Balance Sheet Accounts & Monthly Journal Entries
- Review and Approve weekly Expense Report entries for payment
- Monthly Analysis of General Ledger accounts
- Serves as an integral member of office management and leadership team
- Review and Process Bad Debt Write-offs
- Review and Approve corporate credit card process
- Oversees billing and fee management operations in the office and ensures that all financial activities are consistent with GAAP, company policies and procedures
- Monitors accounts receivable, collaborate and coordinate collection efforts
- Provides training to the new hires, Studio Leaders, Design Managers and staff on internal accounting and project accounting systems, processes, and procedures
- Highly organized, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds, different levels of experience, both internal and external to the company
- Experience with Deltek Vision desirable
- Ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment, and produce accurate and timely deliverables
- Well written with excellent verbal communication skills
- Experience with international taxes and multiple currencies preferred
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance; MBA or CPA qualification desirable
- Accounting professional with 8+ years of related experience
- Maintain effectiveness in hybrid work environment
- Proficient in data management with strong excel skills
- Proactive and able to work effectively alone and in a team environment
- Able to respond to vendors, consultants, and staff in a timely and professional manner
- Excellent business communication, supervisory, organizational, and analytical skills
- Provide staff members with an “open door policy” to allow individuals to feel free to communicate with you and other members of the management team
