Job Description

Accounting Manager Job located in Wood Dale, IL


The appropriate candidate shall serve as the right-hand person to the CFO. The ideal candidate shall have the ambition and drive to promote up to the Controller position and be the next CFO of this organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go to person in assisting the external auditors
  • Produce all financial statements for presentation to senior management
  • Identify all variances and prepare the narrative explaining the cause and effect
  • Oversee the entire month-end close process, supervising a staff of 4
  • Assist with the preparation of the company's budget and forecasts
  • Play the lead role with the implementation of a standard cost system
  • Perform the physical inventory and record all needed adjustments


Qualifications

  • 2 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong large ERP and Excel skills
  • 5+ years of accounting experience within the manufacturing space
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
