Refuse Collector/Driver Jobs

Collects and disposes of refuse across campus, and performs miscellaneous manual labor.,,,,

• Moves and assembles/disassembles chairs, tables, podiums, tents, scaffolding, etc.
• Washes and cleans exterior and interior of refuse truck.,,,,,
• Drives refuse truck; picks-up refuse and solid waste and dumps at designated off-site location.,,,,,
• Inspects refuse truck, which includes checking fluid levels, tires, brakes and lights.,,
• Moves and/or transports furniture, trash, debris, equipment, tools, etc.
• Cleans and inspects refuse containers across campus.,,,,,
• May serve on special task force during periods of emergency, such as floods, hurricanes, etc.,,
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.,,,,,
• Cleans storage areas, work sites, loading docks and equipment as needed.,,,

QualificationsNine years of school and 6 months experience

Requires ability to read, write, add, subtract and follow oral and/or basic written instructions as might normally be acquired through 9 to 11 years of formal schooling. Requires a minimum of six (6) months of directly job-related experience. Requires a valid Texas Driver's License.
