Job Description
Responsibilities:
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a Refrigeration/Mechanical Startup Technician.

Responsibilities include:
  • Complete startup checklists and commission equipment for industrial equipment such as: screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, evaporative condensers, evaporators, pumps, and air handling units
  • Redline As-built drawings; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), equipment schedules, layout drawings etc.
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot equipment during startup, commissioning, installation, and preventative maintenance activities
  • Able to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Perform mechanical integrity inspections
  • Field manage ARM/PSM documentation for project needs
  • Develop pump down and tie-in plans
  • Review construction drawings for constructability and serviceability
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekend and/or holiday, if required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Friendly demeanor
  • Willingness to travel frequently 30-60%
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
