Job Description
Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Recovery Learning Summer School Teacher at the elementary and secondary levels. The appointee will report to the Summer School Principal/Supervisor.

Qualifications: valid Texas Teacher Certification

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  • Understand the value of planning and demonstrate ability to develop and implement short and long range instructional plans based upon effective instructional strategies, knowledge of the discipline, student needs and performances, the global society, the community, and the curriculum
  • Demonstrate successful experience as a classroom teacher
  • Demonstrate effective communication, public relation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a cognitive understanding of the subject matter and pedagogical skills in his/her teaching field
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Days of
Employment:
  • ELEMENTARY: July 10 - July 20; Monday through Thursday; 8:00am to 12:00pm

  • SECONDARY: May 31 - June 15; Monday through Thursday; 8:00am to 2:30pm
