Job Description
Position Summary
The Receptionist reports to a Provisioning Center (PC) Assistant Manager and is responsible for supporting the operations including, but not limited to; creating a welcoming customer experience, providing administrative support, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The position is a key role for the company and is a critical component of the PC’s success.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Help with updating leafly/weed maps in order to communicate current inventory and special offers
  • Ensure a clean waiting area by sweeping and mopping interior and exterior spaces as needed. Will perform light snow removal if necessary. Maintain clean bathroom by removing garbage from bathroom andensures items are restocked
  • Work to facilitate internal communications by providing information to employees, sales representative vendors, etc
  • Confirm changes in the patient’s address or physician’s recommendation that may have occurred since thepatient’s last visit. Ensure patient files are up to date
  • Provide reliable and accurate information to incoming callers in a friendly manner. Take messages anddirect calls to appropriate personnel
  • Facilitate check-in process and direct new and existing patients to appropriate Cannabis Advisors
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Organize the queue of patients so they are seen in the order of arrival and make exceptions as needed
  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor in dealing with patients
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the PC leadership team and staff, including; mail distribution, SOP updates, social media management, creating patient folders, organizing marketing materials, and managing entertainment in the waiting area
  • Generate a welcoming environment by greeting and checking in prospective, new, and returning patients
  • Work with security to ensure patient safety and flow
  • Provide entry to the Provisioning Center Customer Service Area once the patient’s registration has been completed
Minimum Requirements:
  • One to three years working as a receptionist in a professional environment with significant customer facing experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Availability to support a 7-day retail business
  • Effective communication in the English language with all stakeholders
  • A combination of the above will also be considered
  • Must be 21 years old
  • Experience managing a complex phone system, along with strong Microsoft Office Suite exposure
  • Maintain a clean appearance and professional demeanor
Preferred Requirements:
  • College degree
  • Point of Sale and broad computer skills
  • Previous work history in the medical Marijuana industry or significant exposure and knowledge of cannabis products and the endocannabinoid system

  • All Provisioning Center staff and vendors
  • Patients/ Customers Assistant Manager/ General Manager
Physical Requirements:
  • Extended time sitting
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs
