Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD 21201
Category: Support Services (Services/Trades)
Schedule: Day Shift
Position Summary:
Reports to a Supervisor, Materials Management ensures customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information when responding to a customer inquiry. Must provide thorough and timely follow up via phone calls, documentation, ensuring paperwork, or computer data entry. Performs a valued customer service by expediting delivery, authorizing requests, and providing advice to customers. Process supply requisitions. Identify and research inquiries, complaints and questions relative to the delivery of materials from Central Stores or Central Receiving. Channels customer complaints and irregularities to supervisors and managers as appropriate.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Work Experience:
Minimum two-year prior experience in warehouse, receiving, or related operations. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend at the level of at least a high school graduate.
Effective communication skills to interact with peers, supervisors, and internal and external customers. Ability to use various computer applications and delivery equipment.
License/Certification:
Motorized pallet jack certification.
Annual JHH Towline training.
