Location: Hawesville, KY
Shift: 12 hour rotating
Starting Pay Rate: $24.40
Primary Function:
Responsible for unloading and SAP GR transactions for all inbound materials and services required for Southwire Company Kentucky Plant. Determine accuracy of inbound receiving documents. Input inventory receipts of steel reels to the Distribution System. Maintains orderliness and organization of steel reel, steel corewire, and cold metal storage locations. Replenishment of assigned LW’s. Monitor and report conditions of environmental and recycle storage areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cold Metal
Confirm accuracy of inbound cold metal documents
Unload metal to assigned storage locations
Assign load number and storage locations
Maintain load number log book
Communicate with security to confirm truck and load weights before releasing driver
Notify appropriate personnel when discrepancy determined
Complete receiving documents to provide required information to Accounting
Perform weight audits as scheduled by Supervision
Stage cold metal for outbound loads, as directed
Issue COC documents as directed
Steel corewire
Confirm accuracy of inbound steel corewire documents
Identify material to determine correct storage location
Assign material to storage bins
Unload material and complete visual inspection, reporting any issues to Supervisor
Complete SAP GR transactions
Complete coversheet documents for planner/accounting departments
Coordinate with planners on WIP tag assignments before moving to final storage location
Fill out BOL and load CAR return steel reels as directed by Materials
Maintain separation of special identified steel as directed by Materials
Maintain orderliness and organization of steel corewire storage areas
Coordinate with shipper to return empty corewire reels to supplier
Receiving is responsible for loading empty corewire reel returns
Responsible to load steel corewire reels for trans-shipment to other Southwire locations
Wooden Reels
Unload wooden reels and perform visual inspection for damage and other quality issues
Confirm delivery documentation for accuracy
Put reels into assigned storage locations
Complete Goods Receipt for delivery
Input received inventory into Shop Floor system
Input serial number of returnable wood reels into Distribution System
Identify damaged reels and complete MSO for return
Maintain orderliness and organization of wood reel storage area
Communicate to production receipt of expedited material
Steel Reels
Confirm accuracy of inbound steel reel delivery documents
Identify reel size to determine correct storage location
Unload material and complete visual inspection, reporting any issues to Supervisor
Complete SAP GR transactions for newly purchased reels
Scan receive steel reel serial numbers into Distribution System
Visual inspection to identify reels needing repair and coordinate with shipping for their return to repair facility
Physical monthly inventory of steel reels
Responsible to load empty steel reels for trans-shipment to other Southwire locations
Maintain orderliness and organization of steel reel storage areas
