Reagent Quality Control Associate (Temp)

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join their Reagent Quality Control team. Reporting to the Manager of Reagent Quality Control, the Reagent QC Associate will perform quality control tests on reagent and consumable products, including bulk formulations and finished goods. The role requires familiarity with biotechnology reagents, biotech testing techniques, attention to detail, and sound analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Help troubleshoot failed runs to determine cause of failure and whether the cause is process or product related.
• Perform analytical and functional tests of reagent products, including bulk formulations and finished goods.
• Maintain QC databases in order to identify trends in QC data.
• Assist with the development of test procedures for new products.
• Assist in the development of robust test procedures and assess same for repeatability and reproducibility.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting quality control testing on biotech products
• Prior experience working with ERP and laboratory LIMS systems. Experience with NetSuite preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of any required degree.
• Prior experience in GxP regulations and quality systems is strongly preferred.
• Good analytical skills for diagnosing problems, identifying potential solutions
• Strong work ethic consistent with a start-up environment. Ability and willingness to work reasonable overtime.
• Ability to work both independently and effectively in a collaborative team environment where results are achieved through influence and incorporating multiple points of view.
• Or Master's degree in in Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other field of study preferred and a minimum of 1 years of related experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other field of study required and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong project and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive timelines.
