Job Description

Job Title: Quick Lube Technician

Department: Service

Reports to: Service Director/Service Manager

Job Status: Full-time


Position Summary:
The Quick Lube Technician is an entry level technician who is responsible for performing the basic maintenance of customer vehicles. This position requires exceptional teamwork and the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks in a high pace dealership.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform multi-point inspections
  • Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
  • Replace oil and air filters
  • Balance and rotate tires
  • Check air pressure of tires
  • Ensure that guest vehicles are returned to them in the same condition or better than when brought in.
  • Follow proper safety rules by wearing personal protective equipment
  • Perform oil changes on guest vehicles
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in understandable terms to service advisors and guests.
  • Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
  • Add water to radiator and battery
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored and/or required trainings
