Boston-based company Piaggio Fast Forward Inc. (PFF) was founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group (the Italian manufacturer that created the iconic Vespa scooter). The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast pace production environment and meet critical deadlines and have fun doing it. Candidates should also be familiar with Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools.

What You'll Do

  • Operate as a multidisciplinary member of the team of creative, independent individuals.
  • The student will work on discipline-focused projects and tasks to enhance their collegiate learning experience, while providing meaningful contributions to PFF.
  • The student will contribute to work within the operations area(s), requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a variety of tasks.
  • Provide input on project processes, strategies, and execution.
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to employees in the areas including quality inspection, logistics, production, and/or materials planning.
  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of key operational projects and tasks.
  • Quality related work experience could include product inspection, inspection data analysis, measurement capability studies, failure and analysis reports, traceability documentation, and/or contamination control.
  • Operations related work experience could include components of production planning, material handling, and/or lean initiatives & process improvement studies.

What You Need

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's curriculum in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Management, or similar discipline.
  • Students within the PFF Internship Program are expected to have a professional disposition, effective communication skills, a strong desire to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player and able to get along with individuals from other groups in the organization
  • Must be motivated and eager to learn industry concepts

Work Conditions:

  • This role is an active position where you will be on your feet the majority of the day and requires the ability to lift up to 50+ pounds
