Quality Inspector Jobs

For more than 20 years, Metaltech has been a high quality South Sound fabrication and machining shop for both commercial and aerospace manufacturing. We are an experienced ISO 9001 / AS9100 certified shop and looking for an Entry Level QA Inspector / Receiving Inspector / Doc Control assistant to join our team.

Principal Responsibilities
Performs dimensional inspection of precision machined parts and assemblies, receiving, in-process and final inspection for conformance to drawings and specifications.
Use a variety of precision measuring equipment such as: micrometer, calipers, height gauges, CMM Romer Arm w/ CMM Manager Software
Documents all production discrepancies.
Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental control standards.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes workplace safety.

Create procedures and enforce existing procedures.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience
Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in machined part inspection, receiving inspection & doc control.
Ability to read blueprints; understand detailed instruction; perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse

Must have ISO 9001 experience / understanding

Other:

Follows all policies, procedures, standards and safety requirements directed my management

Performs all other duties as requested by management

Physical Requirements:

Able to constantly lift 50 pounds, bend, kneel, stretch and stand during entire shift
