Job Responsibilities:


  • Analyze data sets (drawing conclusions about product and process performance) and communicate recommendations to leaders with the aid of data visualizations
  • Assess and evaluates any and all upstream specification processes for gaps that could lead to opportunities for potential defects or escapes to the customer
  • Provides detail summaries to other functional groups to initiate Problem Solving projects or events when necessary
  • Interacts with Field mechanics to understand failures and failure modes to aid in identifying cause(s) of failures and aid in working on solutions to prevent reoccurrence of those failures in the future
  • Assess and evaluates any and all manufacturing processes for gaps that could lead to opportunities for potential defects or escapes to the customer
  • Provides detail summaries and presentations to team and reports to management in monthly Quality reviews
  • Documents investigation results and summarizing technical details
  • Supports other functional departments when needed during Investigations and or Problem-solving projects or events
  • Manages COPQ metrics, specifically FLC and AMT reports and summaries
  • Analyzes COPQ metrics, specifically FLC and AMT issues and data sets
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed


Required Skills/Knowledge:


  • Continuous Improvement – Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles and application
  • Problem Solving – Logically identifying issues and supporting teams with technical expertise to aid in obtain solutions and mistake proofs using but not limited to RRCA
  • Responsiveness & Responsibility – Capable of reacting quickly at high frequencies and monitoring yourself and your work
  • Critical Reasoning – Logically identifying and reasoning individually and within teams when necessary to participate in detail problem solving events and provide solutions when necessary
  • Elevator Systems – Fundamental knowledge and understanding of elevator systems
  • Critical Learning –Understanding the data and data systems along with the manufacturing processes
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Quality Performance – Using tools required to meet the monthly performance metrics ensuring the customer is not impacted negatively using the results of the investigations
  • Data Systems – Key understanding of the various data systems used to specify and monitor and control manufactured goods; specifically, but not limited to PDM Link, Concept, JDE & MTS


Abilities:


  • Data Analysis – The ability to decipher data to identify potential or active issues and possible trends when they exist
  • Problem Identification - The ability to assess and identify issues within process/product when they exist
  • Reporting – the ability to summarize details in documents and applications and relay to management using various Microsoft office tools
  • Data Comprehension - The ability to read and understand information within spreadsheets and other various documents electronically


Essential/Qualifying Skills:


  • Ability to work well under pressure & work well with others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data


Experience/Qualifications:


  • Lean/6 Sigma certification a plus
  • 4+ years in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment


Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree


Physical Requirements:


  • Infrequent push/pulling exertion 20 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk frequently
  • Infrequent lifting up to 20 lbs
