About the position:


Nova Gas Technologies is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to partner with our quality, production and customer support teams.


As our Quality Engineer, you will act as a key member of our quality team. You won’t just focus on generating acceptable numbers, you will evaluate process variation, inefficiency, and cost improvements to ensure Nova Gas is the market leader in Quality and performance. You will help us develop and deliver training on SOPs to ensure standards are met. You will use your knowledge of MSA, PFMEA and Control Plans to develop and implement technology improvements.


Your average day might include:


Partnering with our Quality team to innovate our approach and ensure Nova Gas Technologies continues to be a leader in quality and efficiency.


Collaborating with top management to develop and revise SOPs for all processes and to deliver training on SOPs.


Creating and reviewing quality and processing data to ensure internal accuracy and support external reporting.


Developing systems and methodologies for collating statistical data and validating laboratory analyses.


Leading and responding to external customer audits, ensuring Nova Gas provides an accurate, thorough and timely response to all inquiries.


Identifying quality deficiencies, creating action plans and leading improvement efforts.


Interfacing with customers and acting as an SME in quality reviews.


Requirements


2 years or more of relevant experience.


Bachelors in mathematics, engineering, science, or equivalent field of study.


Strong analytical and statistical skills.


Experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14000.


Working knowledge of statistical software packages (PQ Systems, Minitab).


Highly skilled in technical investigation and RCA.


Comfortable with customer facing interactions, including review boards.


Bonus Points For:


Previous rare or specialty gas experience.


Familiarity with analytic methodology in relation to industrial gases or wafer manufacturing.
