Job Description

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs data review and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This position requires engineering level review of data gathered from various stages of the product's life cycle including design test, manufacturing test, reliability test and field returns.
  • Support improvement initiatives in quality & productivity.
  • Management of quality system, data management and control utilizing centralized databases.
  • Correlate process data with manufacturing and engineering information.
  • Liaison with purchasing, R&D and marketing on product specific initiatives.
  • Develop quality plans.
  • Emphasis in the areas of process capability and product quality, this position will use analytical techniques to make recommendations for continual improvement as well as ensuring conformance to internal and external standards.
  • Strong focus on continual improvement and reporting on process and product performance/ process capability studies.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of related experience highly preferred



Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.



Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel small and medium sized components. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to lift weight or exert force up to 50 pounds. The employee in this position works in an environment where they may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, there is a risk of electrical shock, and there is vibration. The employee may be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals, may be subject to higher noise levels, or work near moving mechanical parts.
