Join our team! Located in sunny Laredo, Texas, the Department of Quality Management is currently seeking a full-time Quality Coordinator, RN. Under general direction of the Director of Quality, this position is responsible for clinical data management and reporting of quality indicators for the hospital. This role is key to the identification of complex quality issues through data analysis and reports. May provide guidance or expertise to less experienced analysts and nursing staff. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 1-3 years of acute care hospital experience, or equivalent experience in a related field. Must hold a current TX Nursing license. Virtual interviewing may be arranged. The position is eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation.
Position Description:
Under general direction of the Director of Quality, this position is responsible for clinical data management and reporting of quality indicators for the hospital. This role is key to the identification of complex quality issues through data analysis and reports. May provide guidance or expertise to less experienced analysts and nursing staff.
Essential Functions of Position:
- Conduct training and serve as an expert resource.
- Participate in the development, deployment, and monitoring of the insight patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support and facilitates the standardization of best practices.
- Support key strategies to drive quality improvement to meet dashboard and strategic objectives, including meaningful use standards.
- Track issues and work to improve processes, efficiency, and compliance of best practice standards including electronic documentation standards.
- Gather, analyze, and report data related to performance and achievement of projects objectives and timelines.
- Participate in the identification and development of competencies.
- Collaborate with management and subject matter experts to understand desired performance, assess learning needs, and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical transformation activities for an assigned service or population.
- Serve on specialty and/or unit committees, councils, and teams, as well as professional organizations.
- Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of services and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. (ADN or BSN are eligible); Masters Degree preferred.
- Holds a current license in the state of Texas as a registered professional nurse or LVN or appropriate clinical license.
- Required: 1-3 years of acute care hospital experience, or equivalent experience. Preferred: 5 or more years.
- Must possess working knowledge of general hospital operations, JCAHO, OSHA, Medicare COP, and state requirements.
Position is an Administrative Nursing Role. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Location: 1700 E. Saunders, Laredo Tx (Main Campus)
