Quality Control Technician Jobs

Description

Will work in raw ingredient warehouse

Will be on feet most of the day.

Will be doing basic lab testing on raw, in-process, finished goods. (pH, Mositure, Salt, Fat content, and color checks)

May do some taste tests

Conduct detailed examination of all incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished products to determine wholesomeness, product identity and physical characteristics. Compare results against established standards and take appropriate corrective actions when standards are not met.

Routinely conduct detailed audits of processing operations and good manufacturing practices to enforce product safety and determine compliance to established standards.

Coordinate corrective actions with management when deviations are found.

Maintain the structure and content of QA related logs, registers, and QC work instructions

Maintain complete records of all QA related audits and inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors Degree preferably in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or Chemistry preferred but not required

Experience working in a lab environment

2-3 years of experience in a Quality inspection role, preferable in a dry foods operation
