QC Team Lead is expected to work with minimal supervision to develop and enhance Quality Control programs. They will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading the execution of these programs, as well as overseeing the Olfactive and/or analytical QC laboratories. The QC Team Lead must ensure that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of QC results and meeting the agreed QC service level. It should be noted that the role of QC Team Lead encompasses additional responsibilities beyond those associated with the QC Analyst III position.

In this position you will:

  • Conducting quality audits: The QC Team Lead must conduct regular quality audits to ensure that all products or services meet the established quality standards
  • Communicate material non-conformance (QN's) and information updates to key contacts in Quality, Operations, Purchasing and Customer Care as needed.
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues: The QC Team Lead is responsible for identifying and resolving quality issues that arise
  • Perform WET Chemistry testing, GC and Sensory Evaluation, Calibration, Validation and troubleshooting Instruments errors.
  • Work with local Operations management and HR Business Partners to develop a talent pipeline for the local QC organisation.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement
  • The maintenance of test equipment
  • Supervise QC Analysts I/II/III and QC
  • Identifying future resource needs and dedicated test space for the Raw Materials, Finished Goods and GC labs.

Your professional profile includes:

  • Knowledge of sensory principles and understanding of the data analysis of sensory results.
  • Previous background in Sensory Evaluation and Analytical QC required.
  • Knowledge of ingredients and products labelling regulations.
  • Proficient in production methods and quality control systems and procedures in manufacturing facilities.
  • BS in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or related discipline required.
  • Broad based knowledge of product technologies and applications.
  • Proficient in systems, procedures and techniques for laboratory operations (e.g. weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer Titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC)
  • MS Preferred
  • Overall work experience of 5+ years in a similar position, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Broad based knowledge of ingredients and products safety principles, global standards as well as regulations.
