Job Description
We are a leading manufacturer in the snack industry that works with leading retailers throughout the US. As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards. You will work closely with various departments to maintain our quality control processes and communicate with stakeholders regarding quality-related issues. We're looking for an experienced individual who can bring a strong sense of quality management to our team and help us maintain our reputation as a trusted manufacturer in the food production industry.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards set by regulatory bodies such as the FDA, USDA, and GMP.
  • Train and coach staff on quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct audits of suppliers and internal facilities to ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D departments to identify and resolve quality-related issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Track and analyze quality data to identify trends, pinpoint recurring issues, and develop solutions to improve product quality.
  • Manage and execute product testing, shelf-life testing, and sensory testing.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and processes for all stages of snack production, from ingredient sourcing to packaging and distribution.


Requirements


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field in the food production industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in SQF, Organic, kosher, RSPO, UTZ.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety management systems is a plus.
  • Experience managing product testing and analysis, including sensory testing and micro testing.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of FDA, USDA, GMP, and other quality and safety regulations.
  • Detail-oriented approach to work and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Bilingual (English - Spanish) preferred.
