Position Introduction/Key Duties

Watring Technologies, Inc. (WTI) is seeking a Quality Assurance candidate to support space hardware assembly, integration, and testing activities in Huntsville, AL. This position is supporting work at the WTI headquarters location for the assembly and acceptance testing of commercial space propulsion modules including hardware sub-systems and components. Founded in 1997, Watring Technologies’ primary support is in Aerospace and Defense. Their capabilities include hardware integration, testing, and product development. With this acquisition, Cimarron gains substantial capability in both expanded service and product offerings.

This is an onsite position. This is a second shift position.

Key Duties

• Support quality assurance on the assembly, integration, and testing activities for space hardware.
• Witness and verify acceptance test procedures for functional verification of high/low-pressure distribution panels, sub-systems, and components.
• Perform quality assurance on assembly procedures for the fabrication and integration of systems and components into higher-level assemblies.
• Perform quality assurance on the fabrication of specialized test apparatuses for gaseous testing and exercising sub-systems and components.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 10 or more years of aerospace hardware quality assurance experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
• Working knowledge of inspections, dimensional measurements, and qualitative assessments.
• Strict attention to detail and documentation of assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and mechanical equipment layouts.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others and within a team.
• Watring employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.

Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

• Experience with Orbital Tube Welding (OTW).
• Experience performing quality assurance on space-rated hardware assemblies.
• Experience working within ISO 7 or better clean room environment.
