Quality Control Analyst I/Ii (Contract)

Gritstone bio is a public, next-generation personalized cancer and infectious immunotherapy company. Gritstone brings together distinguished scientific founders, an experienced and diverse management team, a seasoned and successful board of directors and deep financial backing to tackle fundamental challenges at the intersection of cancer genomics, immunology, and immunotherapy design. The company’s goal is to identify and deploy neoantigens for novel treatments of cancer and infectious diseases. In addition to neoantigen therapy development, Gritstone is leveraging its unique antigen discovery platform to define targets for shared antigen immunotherapies, which would provide an opportunity to treat even more patients.
Position Summary
The primary role of the QC Analyst is to conduct cGMP analytical testing for raw materials, in process, finished product, stability and other samples to support development and manufacturing operations. This role will work closely with the Quality Control team to meet the needs of the manufacturing operation. This position will be a short term contract with a length of 3-4 months.
Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis, data management and documentation utilizing GDP
• Routine GMP testing which includes basic chemistries, compendial assays and other analytical methods

Minimum Education/Experience:

• Experience in laboratory practices, pipetting and basic bench skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in scientific discipline or a health-related field.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
• Excellent computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• CGMP experience a plus
• 0-5+ years relevant industry experience
• Strategic agility, strong critical and logical thinking with ability to analyze problems
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in an evolving environment
• Self-motivated, self-disciplined and able to function independently as well as part of a team.

Gritstone bio anticipates that the hourly rate for the Quality Control Analyst I position could range between $22.88/hour - $39.80/hour. Likewise, the anticipated hourly rate for the Quality Control Analyst II position could range between $29.42/hour - $49.75/hour. Pay rates will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s credentials for the role, including education, qualifications, and type as well as length of experience. Any offered salary is also based on internal equity, internal position salary ranges, and market data. Gritstone is a multistate employer and the salary offered will be market competitive. At Gritstone, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
