Quality Assurance Technician Jobs

Job purpose

Assists in the direction of the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties:

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must be able to use all inspection equipment at Refab and train as necessary.
• Communicate with customers when there is a rejection. Determine disposition and corrective action as needed.
• Maintain all paperwork for first articles and any other inspection reports kept on file at Refab.
• Maintain and control the calibration of measuring equipment
• Perform all inspection operations that are called out on routing traveler.
• Perform incoming inspections of supplied goods as needed.

Qualifications

• High school education; or Associates degree from college or university; or 8-10 years related experience in manufacturing or quality control. Experience in quality systems development, implementation and auditing procedures a must. Must possess good working knowledge of computers including Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and facilitation skills required.
• Needs to be able to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Needs to be able to compute rate, ratio and draw and interpret bar graphs, as well as apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Needs to be able to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Needs to be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Needs to be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, members of leadership and team members.
• Needs to be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Needs to be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written or oral form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Working conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts when working on shop floor. Team member works in both office environment with moderate noise level and shop environment with high noise level.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly communicates with team members, shop floor team members and occasionally with customers. This position requires frequent standing and walking on shop floor. Team member is required to work on a computer terminal on a daily basis. Occasionally may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and Needs to be able to adjust focus.
