Quality Assurance Specialist Jobs

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join Snap-Tite Hose, a leading firehose manufacturing company. As the Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products meet industry standards and customer expectations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems. Your role will be critical to help us maintain our reputation for delivering industry-leading quality hose to our customers.

Snap-Tite Hose has been manufacturing high-quality products since 1969, and we have become recognized as experts in firefighting, agricultural, and industrial hose. Our company introduced the concept of large diameter hose (LDH), which became widely used throughout North America. Today, nearly every fire department in America uses LDH to move water efficiently. Our premium hose product is trusted worldwide, from the highest quality lay-flat jacketed and rubber fire hose to industrial large diameter hose and powerful and tough agricultural and drag hose. Responsibilities

• Efficiently process product returns and customer concerns
• Lead, support and participate in Continuous Improvement activities
• Drive continuous improvement efforts
• Manage and maintain weekly and monthly scrap reports
• Initiate and maintain internal Corrective Actions (CAR) and Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR)
• Ensure compliance with all industry related 3rd party approval agencies
• Coach mentor for Quality Assurance Technician
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Maintain and support a housekeeping program
• Maintenance of assigned quality/lab equipment
• Manage and maintain test requests
• Ensure compliance with all military Quality Assurance Requirement (QAR) inspections
• Learn and support BOM/Routing/Costing structures
• Ensure accuracy in completing and reviewing paper and electronic records, documents and contracts
• Support and enhance ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System
• Manage and maintain Training manager software

Requirements

• Supervisory experience a plus
• Experience with contract review and 3rd party outside agencies
• Detail oriented and methodical
• Strong oral interpersonal and written communication skills
• Must be able to grasp technical concepts and ability to drive projects/tasks to on-time completion
• Maintain positive attitude while constructively working through stressful situations
• Minimum of 3 years of experience within an ISO quality management system
• Understand the flow of work in the production areas
• Must be fluent in MS Word, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and POWERPOINT
• Must demonstrate leadership capabilities
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds with or without assistance and be able to stand/walk for 25% of his/her day
• Ability to work with and through others to achieve goals
