Quality Assurance Engineer | Innovation

The Quality Assurance Engineer role will serve to assist in completing key initiatives in the areas of testing and assessing coded software for in-development firm innovation opportunities. In this role, you will execute against prioritized tasks based on opportunities to help the firm develop and deploy high-quality, exciting new solutions for taking to market, delighting clients, and solving client problems in new, unique ways.

How you will contribute:

• Design, generate, and execute automated and manual test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications
• Complete necessary automated or manual API testing
• Document defects and steps
• While adhering to firm SSDLC practices, participate in a team of Software Engineers and QA Engineers completing development efforts on assigned projects
• Collaborate with software engineers in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load, and acceptance testing methods
• Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
• Test any new software to ensure integration meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely, meaningful feedback and determine its intended functionality
• Troubleshoot and test reported errors and bugs
• Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws
• Participate in Definition Workshops and Design sessions for prospective solutions as needed
• Participate in agile product development efforts (stand-ups, planning, grooming/refining, sprint demos, retrospectives, etc.) on assigned products, leading appropriate activities as needed
• Make recommendations for improvement of applications to software development and product team members
• Works with development resources to proactively design technical debt out of the solution area environment; produces comprehensive technical views of the solution components at the software, data, communication, and compute layers; able to design end-to-end solutions that meet performance, scalability, security, regulatory compliance, and resiliency requirements across the solution product suite; understands, articulates, and contributes to the firm's business and technology strategy
• Complete necessary automated or manual performance testing
