Job Description

QA/QC Technician (FMPC)


Summary:

The QA/QC Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of food products within

the processing center. This position involves conducting inspections, implementing quality control

measures, and performing various tests and analyses to maintain compliance with industry standards

and regulations. The technician will collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor processes,

identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the overall quality management system.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of production lines, equipment, and finished products

to ensure adherence to quality of industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform sensory evaluations, microbiological testing, and chemical analyses of raw materials,

in-process samples, and finished goods.

  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement in

quality control processes.

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures, work instructions, and

documentation.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to ensure the quality of incoming materials

and resolve any quality-related concerns.

  • Partner with production and maintenance teams to address and resolve quality-related issues

and implement corrective actions.

  • Communicate quality standards and expectations to employees and support in providing

training on quality control procedures.

  • Maintain accurate records, including test results, inspection reports, and other quality-related

documentation.

  • Monitor and verify proper sanitation practices and hygienic conditions within the processing

center.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety

and quality control.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualification:

  • 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably in the food
  • An Associate degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • This job is performed in a production environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and

other environmental factors associated with food production.


Position Details:

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM and 6:30 PM
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Available to work on flexible schedules, such as weekends and holidays as necessary.

Compensation:

The pay range for this job is between $21 and $28 per hour. This is a general guideline only and not a
