Job Description

Quality Biological, Inc. (QBI) is a manufacturing biotechnology company committed to delivering innovative, high-quality products for the life science industry. We manufacture media, buffers, supplements, and reagents for cell culture and molecular biology applications.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Quality Assurance team as a QA Associate. The responsibilities outlined below are critical for the success and efficiency of operations, achieving customer satisfaction, and the success of QBI in achieving its revenue and profit goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs internal audits in conjunction with QA manager
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with appropriate safety, internal procedures, and ISO 9001 standards
  • Review monthly temperature and other process-related logs to support operations and logistics
  • Work with QA manager to track and trend the effectiveness of QA processes and contribute to any necessary improvements
  • Process and monitors deviations and product non-conformance
  • Process and monitors Document/change control activities
  • Assist QA team in implementing eQMS
  • Support training program
  • Other duties, as assigned
  • Maintain equipment management, including calibration and PMs
  • Batch record review and finished product release
  • Review and approve product label templates
  • Interacts effectively with company management and internal departments.
  • Author, revise and/or review SOPs, protocols, reports, and other relevant QA documentation
  • Raw material release

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to always maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor
  • 1 year of experience in GMP related experience in biopharmaceutical/ pharmaceutical or related industry preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and manage through complex processes/projects
  • BS/ BA in life sciences or related fields
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Access, Vizio and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to influence behaviors and negotiate and resolve challenges with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • The ability to follow instructions and Standard Operating procedures
  • Ability to organize and disseminate information efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, organized, responsible, creative, pays attention to detail, multi-tasker
