Qa Analyst Jobs

We’re looking for a high-energy, passionate individual to be part of our QA team. This is a mid-level, hands-on position for delivering a high-quality software testing across Assurant. You will take pride and ownership of key parts of the software and certify its quality and correctness before delivery to the customer. To qualify you need a great attitude and ability to work in context of agile software development.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Embrace the Agile methodology and adapt to the rapid release sprint cycle
• Investigate test failures or other system anomalies and characterize and document possible root causes
• Participate actively in functional, system, integration, regression testing and test automation activities following project timelines
• Develop deep expertise in the product
• Build and perform manual testing
• Analyze user stories and business process requirements to estimate quality risks
• Evaluate overall release quality and advise on go/no-go decisions
• Work with Project Managers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and other QA Engineers in an Agile team environment
• Own multiple features/modules of Salesforce application and mentor associate QA Engineers on processes and products
• Work closely with automation team to provide test cases and feedback to automate project’s features for better regression coverage
• Create, clarify, and improve story descriptions, acceptance criteria and testing outlines
• Participate actively in hotfix Regression execution on demand
• Take QA ownership to perform activities for projects and initiatives that enhance our Salesforce systems and other platforms
• Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• Experience working in a hands-on quality assurance role over several years
• Ability to set application configurations and create test data sets
• Strong interpersonal, relationship building, relationship management and facilitation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or equivalent
• A demonstrable history of self-motivation and a bias towards acting and getting things done
• Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (black box and/or automated testing) in a software company with short release cycles
• 7+ years of overall QA experience
• Experience and knowledge on using XML formats
• Experience in writing test cases and scenarios that cover both sanity and in-depth testing for functional, system, integration, and end to end aspects
• At least 3+ years working experience as Sr. QA Test engineer role for at least multiple enterprise implementation engagements
• Creative & ambitious person with a passion for excellence

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Experience with Atlassian products like Jira, Confluence
• Knowledge and understanding on cloud technologies used in enterprises
• Business functional knowledge on quote generation, contract management & administration etc.
• Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium with Ruby and or Java
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management and/or Product Warranty industry practices is a plus
• Understanding and knowledge on testing data using Electronic File Transfers (EFT Testing)
• Working with highly available, software-as-a-service platforms
• API level testing
• Salesforce testing experience
