Purchasing Manager Jobs

The Purchasing Manager is responsible and accountable for vendor selection, assessing vendor capabilities, developing alternate sources, evaluating vendor performance, and reducing cost of ownership of purchased materials.
Responsibilities

• Ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met in procurement of products and services.
• Develop and implement supplier quality management systems for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate procurement activities and contracts with global subsidiaries.
• Contract negotiations.
• Develop and implement appropriate procedures to ensure all purchased materials and services conform to documented requirements and that the terms and conditions of purchases are appropriate.
• Supervise 4 Buyers, as well as shipping/receiving (5 employees) to include daily management and performance reviews
• Supplier evaluation
• Oversee and direct activities of purchasing department.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-years in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university
• Demonstrated success in a management role
