Purchasing Logistics Specialist Jobs

This position will work closely with the project management and fabrication teams to manage the planning and purchasing of materials in support of the design, fabrication and the installation process.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the Finance/Cost Accounting function to ensure that material costs are updated in ERP to for the Sales estimating process.
• Obtain pricing, quotes, and lead times from existing and new vendors as necessary.
• Monitor internal processes to ensure cycle counts and spot checks of inventory are occurring as needed.
• Maintain sufficient inventory to meet manufacturing needs.
• Manage all aspects of the material purchasing, to include issuing PO’s, material receipts, invoice matching, confirmation of future material requirements and planning schedules, and managing individual job date updates in ERP system.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in Purchasing functions.
• A team player with leadership abilities
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office & Excel
• Knowledge of AutoCAD & ERP systems is a plus
