Overview:

Are you looking for a highly rewarding opportunity that provides extensive career growth opportunity? Gilbane is seeking a Purchasing Agent I to provide assistance in the buy-out of a Project. This role will sit primarily in the office.


** We are open to someone working from either our Sarasota or Tampa office!

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and utilize the Master Bidders list throughout the buyout process of projects
  • Maintain Purchase and Award Schedule
  • Prepare and process contracts, purchase orders, consultant agreements and amendments to ensure compliance with contract and project requirements
  • Track/monitor the MBE/WBE/SBE utilization process and identify risk areas
  • Process bid documents to ensure compliance with contract requirements
Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of purchasing and/or construction experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and outside representatives
  • Ability to prepare and interpret specifications, analyze bids, and prepare and maintain procurement records and reports
